Innova says this about the Leopard3: "The Leopard3 has a nice controllable turn right out of the box. It can be thrown smooth for straighter shots, or harder for more turn. Adjusting the angle of release allows the Leopard3 to be an incredibly versatile fairway driver."

Halo Star Leopard3: Very Straight
May 31, 2025
This review is specifically for the Halo Star Leopard3 (mine is 165g).
In this plastic, this mold is dead straight in the 300-320 foot backhand range. It's definitely more stable than its Star or Champ counterparts.
Throw it flat with 300 feet of power and it'll drift just slightly before a smooth finish slightly to the left. It's very workable for a slight turnover or a flat, smooth 270 foot forehand.
I'm always surprised at how far Leo3s go without a ton of power. If you're throwing your fairways 350-375 feet you should get some flip up out of this, but it should maintain some understable integrity even out to 400 feet. It's comparable to a good C-Line FD.
Straight to Understable Point and Shoot Fairway Driver
May 20, 2024
The Leopard3 slots into the straight to understable true fairway driver spot for those without a big arm.
I've thrown the Leopard3 in both Champion and Gstar plastic. I haven't thrown one in Halo Star, but it is widely reputed to be the most overstable plastic blend for this mold, as is common for Innova molds in general.
Champion: for someone with approximately 330-350 feet of power the Leo3 will be straight to understable. Throw it on a baby hyzer and watch it flip up and ride straight. Throw it with a touch of anhyzer and it'll hold the turn forever, with a slight flattening out at the end of the flight. I've been surprised at how far this disc goes. It's got a really comfortable flat top, not much dome, but I can push it over 300 feet without hammering it.
Gstar: This mold is definitely more understable in Gstar. It's great for aggressive hyzer-flips, long turnovers, or forced over rollers. Touch hyzer-flip sidearms are fun with either Gstar or Champion plastic, depending how much turn is required. The Leo3 is great for standstill scrambles that still require some distance.
Champion Glow Leopard3

The Leopard3 is a very beginner friendly disc that works well for a variety of shots. For higher armspeeds it will have more turn, making it inconsistent, but I recommend it for anyone who is new to disc golf. I use a Teebird more often than this disc because a Teebird is more consistent.
