Innova says this about the Wraith: "The Wraith is a long stable Distance Driver with speed, glide, and accuracy. This Wraith can provide great distance for players of all skill levels. It is an excellent down wind driver that also performs predictably into the wind. The Star Wraith is endorsed by 12-time World Champion, Ken Climo."

Helpfulness
Star Wraith
Nov 24, 2023
The Star Wraith is a perfect introduction to overstable drivers for medium arm speeds (I consistently throw 300'-325' on golf lines with max weight drivers, with a good pump getting out to a bit over 350').
Brand new, my moderately domey Star Wraith flew moderately overstable for me, holding an anhyzer line for a bit before consistently finishing left. As I have beaten it in, it has become dead straight, pushing up to flat from a baby hyzer before finishing just barely left.
On forehand lines the Wraith is a nice neutral driver for me. I have a consistent 280'-300' of power in my forehand, and the Wraith will hold an anhyzer angle for most of its flight before a gentle right finish. Thrown on hyzer, it will hold that angle, pushing forward without ever dumping to the right.
I would highly recommend the Wraith to a developing beginner-intermediate player with some power as a first overstable driver. Start off with a 155-165 gram Star or Gstar Wraith, and move to max weight and Champion or Halo Star plastic as your form develops and you gain more power.
Unless you have well over 400' of power you should probably be throwing Wraiths instead of Destroyers for max distance. It works for Bradley Williams and Double G; it'll work for you.
innova halo wraith BOMBS
Oct 3, 2023
I got the innova halo wraith orange and yellow with a rainbow stamp. It is a fire disc and I have loved them for a long time. The one I got was a little flat for my liking I’m not sure how that relates to this run on a larger scale though. It is fairly overstable right now so I expect it to beat in to very stable to slightly overstable with lots of turn which is what I love about them. Overall still love the disc and would definitely recommend!
Most Overstable Wraith I have Thrown

For reference, at the time of this review I throw good course shots (not max distance field shots) at 360ft to 400ft consistently with high speed drivers (Bushnell measured). RHBH. Sea level. Baby hyzer release. Very little flutter out of the hand.
I have experience throwing the Wraith in DX, Pro, Nathan Queen TS Star, Echo Star, Stock Star, Stock Champ, Metal Flake Champ, Bottom Stamped Star, Stock Halo, and GG TS Halo. The GG TS Halo Wraith is clearly the most overstable of them. The very domey chartreuse one that I have is actually a little more OS than I find useful. I am giving it three stars because it is weirdly glidey for something so OS and because it's a Wraith that occupies a portion of the overstability spectrum that no other Wraith does. But it's only three stars because I'm not really sure it's necessary. I rarely reach for it. You could argue that it's not that different of a flight from something like a Firebird or Invictus or Max depending on your arm speed and your disc preference. I'm guessing that they bomb for GG himself, but for mere mortals maybe not so much. Given that they cost more than stock discs, it's hard for me to recommend this instead of a stock run of a different, more OS mold.
If you find that a stock Star Wraith turns too much for you, you might want to try a good domey Bottom Stamped Star or even a stock Halo Wraith if those are run again soon. This GG Halo TS might be a bigger jump in stability than you were looking for.
You really can't go wrong with a Wraith

The Wraith is my go to distance driver. Faster discs like the Destroyer are fine, but I get more consistent lines from the Wraith, so I choose it. I have thrown DX, Pro, Champ, Star, Metal Flake Champ, Halo, and a few different Tour Series. I don't find DX to be useful for this mold, so I'll skip it. Pro is the low end of stability. Flips up and over and does not fade back. Just carries right. At the other far end of stability is the Garrett Gurthie 2021 Halo Tour Series. Complete meathook. Not like a Max, but more than an Xcal. So it's very OS. From most US to most OS, I would rate them like this:
Pro
Nathan Queen TS Star
Echo Star (after a few knocks)
Stock Star
Stock Champ
Metal Flake Champ
Bottom Stamped Star
Stock Halo
GG TS Halo
From Pro to NQ TS Star there is real gap. Then all the next ones are only ticks up. From BS Star to Stock Halo is a significant gap. From Stock Halo to GG Halo is another significant gap. I generally bag a Pro for extreme hyzer flips or turnovers, an Echo Star for most distance shots, a stock Halo for wind or just reliable finish, and the GG Halo for extreme wind or just utility.
It's a great mold, and the popularity means you can find different plastics or runs to cover most every shape. Love it.
