Helpfulness
I see why some of the pros are obsessed with this disc.

I see why some of the pros are obsessed with this disc. I go with a Champion plastic around 167grams. this disc is definitely stable out of the box, but seasons very nicely to a straight disc with a touch of fade. I like this mold because it can be cranked without having to worry that there isn't enough stability and it dumping to the right (RHBH). The run i have has a bit of a dome on it so i typically don't throw it forehand. I've recently measured my eagle distance at about 310-330ft. Don't let this disc fool you, it can be thrown hard and you can get some decent distance for a fairway driver. I highly recommend giving this disc a shot.

The Barsby Eagle is so stable, and I love it! Fits perfectly in my bag’s forehand lineup: Zone, Eagle, Machete. 1010 has stellar service and will always be my favorite online disc retailer. Five star shopping experience for a five star disc.
Great if You Want Less Distance

For reference, at the time of this review I throw good course shots (not max distance field shots) at 360ft to 400ft consistently with high speed drivers (Bushnell measured). RHBH. Sea level. Baby hyzer release. Very little flutter out of the hand.
So I went through several fairway molds before landing on the Eagle. The main issue was that other fairways went too far. Sounds weird, but hear me out. I throw Wraiths for my distance drives. I used 9 speeds like an Undertaker or Lots or Thunderbird or whatever, but they went basically the same distance as the Wraith (see distances above). So I stepped down to 7 speed fairways like the Explorer or the Prodigy F series discs or Leopard3 or whatever else. But those also went basically the same distance. A little shorter, but not much. That doesn't add a shot to my bag that I didn't have before and couldn't throw more easily already with a Wraith.
Enter the Eagle. For my arm, DX will flip up or hold a right turn. Older champ is very straight - very little turn or fade. Newer champ hooks hard at the end. Tour Series Star are very OS. Stock star turns more but then fades back more. The thing I like is that they all fall short of my Wraiths. If the Wraith goes 400ft, the same throw with a similar stability Eagle would go 340ft. That's different from my Explorer. It would go more like 380ft, which is too similar to my Wraith.
So yeah, I love the Eagle because it actually puts a consistent distance in my bag that wasn't there before.
