Discmania says this about the FD: "Discmania’s first true Fairway Driver is also known as the Jackal. The FD is a controllable low-speed driver. Once you learn its magic, you’ll never leave it out of your bag. Packed with gigantic glide, this bad boy is also sneaky long if thrown properly. The Jackal is at its best when you need to make an accurate drive and land smoothly on the fairway."
Flight Metrics
Speed
The velocity required to reach a disc's optimal flight path. Range: 1 to 15.
Glide
The measure of lift generated by a disc to stay aloft. Range: 1 to 7.
Turn
The velocity, relative to the speed of the disc, required to cause the disc to turn with the direction of spin. Range: +1 to -5.
Fade
The low-velocity stability that causes a disc to hook at the end of its flight. Range: 0 to 5.
The d-line flex glow is board flat and flys nothing like the numbers. Flys like a FAF firebird. No way is this one 6 glide, more like 3 glide. This might be a good thing in baseline as it might fly better with wear.
This is the best fairway driver I have thrown. It is true to its numbers and is a hyzerflipping machine. As it beats in, it gets straighter and becomes really great for turnovers. Get one!
I love this disc especially for straight shots and turnovers in the 270-300 ft range. The glide on this thing is crazy—the first disc I could get 300 on consistently. All skill levels will find use for the FD.
