MVP Photon
Main Features
The MVP Photon is the high-speed driver for the masses. Its flight is neutral, not too understable or overstable.

MVP says this about the Photon: "The Photon is best described as a longer Tesla, with power throwers able to achieve some flight extending turn, and all throwers getting a reliable fade. The Photon is naturally headwind resistant but average power throwers can use a headwind to emulate those extended flights of high power throwers."

Phases of Flight
Low-Speed Fade |
---|
As the disc slows and spin decreases, the disc pulls out of turn and begins to hook at the end of flight |
High-Speed Turn |
The aerodynamic profile turns the disc with the direction of spin during the high-speed phase of flight |
Forward Push |
The initial thrust forward during the high-speed phase of flight |

Great distance driver for straight to overstable flight
Jun 17, 2023
I got the photon in proton and neutron plastic the proton is a little bit more overstable than the neutron, which is straight with a slight fade. Both are around 165 and 166 grams I get distances from 380-420. When thrown into the wind put a little hyzer on them and they will flip to flat and finish left, the photon is now my only distance driver that I use
A brick and a meathook

I have this in both cosmic neutron and fission plastic, it is great in fission plastic, it flies similar to flight numbers with maybe a touch more over stability. In cosmic neutron mine flies like it has the flight numbers 14/1/0/3, it tends to just fall out of the sky and turn into its fade the whole time. I don't have this issue with any other 11 speed discs. Take these flight numbers with a BIG dash of salt if buying in neutron.
Understable Forehand/Perfect S-line

My go to forehand. Can throw it 400ft on a good day. Once broken in it flips over just enough to make a really solid and gradual s-line shot. One of my favorite discs, bought 5. Have a newer one in my bag, has more overstable characteristics. Overall though, compared to the normal photon, definitely plays more towards stable/overstable while the normal photon plays to be overstable.
