MVP says this about the Matrix: "The Matrix is designed to resist turnover for all power levels and situations, and its stability is best described as a longer Axiom Envy. Matrix should have a long straight travel for most throwers, followed by a dependable fade. While this is not a “meathook” style overstable midrange, it's utility is not to be underestimated. Release angles make all the difference with this type of midrange, yielding useful flights on releases from anhyzer to flat and hyzer."

Helpfulness
This is an interesting one.

This is an interesting one. I really do enjoy the Matrix, and I believe if it was in another companies lineup, it’d be more popular, but MVP/Axiom has so many great mids, it often gets overlooked. But doesn’t mean it isn’t great. The matrix is a surprisingly dumpy and overstable disc. I’ve got 2 in proton, 2 in electron, and one in special edition cosmic neutron. Of course electron will beat in super fast and turn into a cool understable disc. In proton, this thing is fairly beefy. Is it going to be your workhorse in a windy round? Probably not if you throw 300+. But it has enough stability to be reliable. The dumpy factor is what sets this apart. This mid does not want to go far, which is weird. I throw 400+, and mids out to 350, and I struggle getting this thing to 300 feet. Very odd, but can be that disc for someone looking for a controlled, accurate mid. Very fun overall
