The Discmania Active Maestro is a controllable midrange that gives a dependable finish at the end of flight. Power throwers will find it to go reliably straight.
Discmania says this about the Maestro: "Originally known as the Spring Ox. The Maestro is the brand new midrange featured in Discmania’s Active lineup. The Maestro is a low profile midrange with a bead that helps flight as well as making sure the disc releases smooth from the hand every time. This midrange has a straight flight with a slight slow speed fade making accurate approach shots a regular part of your game. While most midranges have a larger diameter, the Maestro features the same diameter as drivers and putters making this disc fit more comfortably in the hand."

I picked up one of these used for $3.99 as a “throwaway” disc or a winter disc. It is a finger width smaller in diameter than my Buzzz. It in the base plastic. Grip is good. Top is flat. I use it as an approach disc. It works well for me in this role. It goes where I want it to go. With a little change to the artwork on the disc they could have called it Beetlejuice. I later got another on in the premiummplastic. This disc had more of a dome to it. It is probably more overstable than the base plastic one. I bag this disc. I’ve played rounds with just this disc in a short woodsy course. Sometimes in the wind I’ll use this disc to putt with. I might not have bought this disc but for the low price. It was a pleasant surprise.
