In collaboration with Anthony Barela, Discraft modified the popular Cicada to create a more overstable version, offering more control for high-power shots. Great for all skill levels.
Discraft says this about the Cigarra: "Designed in collaboration with Anthony Barela, the Cigarra is a modified, overstable version of the beloved Cicada. The Cigarra redefines what is possible with the Cicada, allowing players to unleash more power and achieve greater distance and control in every shot. Whether you are attacking tight fairways or ripping forehands, the Cigarra is built for all levels of flight and is ready to elevate your game today."
Flight Metrics
Speed
The velocity required to reach a disc's optimal flight path. Range: 1 to 15.
Glide
The measure of lift generated by a disc to stay aloft. Range: 1 to 7.
Turn
The velocity, relative to the speed of the disc, required to cause the disc to turn with the direction of spin. Range: +1 to -5.
Fade
The low-velocity stability that causes a disc to hook at the end of its flight. Range: 0 to 5.
This is a hyzer flip to straight flight for me. I throw a pretty flippy DD3 about 375ish consistently. I got an Esp 169g, looks beautiful, flies good, doesn't really skip unless I leave it nose up, and it starts fading out on me.
Still trying to figure the disc out but like it overall. I should have bought a max weight one since its real windy in texas.
Otherwise, it flies great.
Great Stable to Overstable Disc. Awesome for fairway wooded shape shifting shots. Feels similar to the Cicada but with more confidence when thrown that the disc will have a nice fade at the end. Highly Recommend!
