Lone Star Disc says this about the Middy: "The one that started it all!
The MD-1 (Middy) was the first Lone Star Disc to receive PDGA approval. It is extremely dependable in all situations, and it’s certainly NEVER afraid of a headwind! With its overstable nature, the Middy could possibly be the world’s best disc for wind and for forehand throws! It can handle finesse and power throws.
If you’re looking for a consistent midrange, then your search is over!"

Helpfulness
Reliable, overstable midrange
Feb 10, 2024
The Middy is a reliably overstable midrange, but not in the vein of the Justice, Pyro, Deflector, Buzzz OS, Caiman, etc.
It is a workable overstable midrange similar to the Roc3 or Wasp. It will push straight for a while without turning, before a solid left (for RHBH) finish. It's fairly comfortable both backhand and forehand, with a slightly shallow profile and beadless rim.
Plastic:
The glow plastic is very comfortable and gummy, and while the glow is not as good as Eclipse 2.0 plastic from MVP, it is among the best glow plastic from other manufacturers (better than Champion Glow or Z Glo, perhaps similar to Kastplast's glow plastic).
