Latitude 64 says this about the Missilen: "Missilen (The Missile, in Swedish) is a project that Latitude 64° has been working on for a while. It features hexagon shaped cavities in the surface of both the top of the disc and the bottom of the rim. This pattern has been tested to be the most efficient in reducing drag and making the disc fly extremely fast. The speed is notable especially when the discs lands. Try it and see for yourself how fast it goes through the wind in your neighborhood."

Phases of Flight
Low-Speed Fade |
---|
As the disc slows and spin decreases, the disc pulls out of turn and begins to hook at the end of flight |
High-Speed Turn |
The aerodynamic profile turns the disc with the direction of spin during the high-speed phase of flight |
Forward Push |
The initial thrust forward during the high-speed phase of flight |
