The Kastaplast Kaxe is a controllable midrange that gives a dependable finish at the end of flight. Power throwers will find it to go reliably straight.
The retooled Kaxe is an updated version of the original disc. Being too close to the Kaxe Z we decided to take the best from both discs and present a Kaxe which is exactly as we want it to be. The king of the middle section on the flight chart. It easy to shape for mid-power shots, and it will solve your problems on both short and longer distances.
The Kaxe is a dependable small diameter midrange driver that will work just as well as a fairway control driver. This disc is appreciated for its predictable flight and will come in handy in numerous situations on the course. Due to its slim proportions and decent stability, Kaxe handles wind well without being very overstable. A true multi-purpose disc which has become many players new favourite workhorse control disc. Kaxe is an old Swedish word, meaning a stuck-up person.
Flight Metrics
Speed
The velocity required to reach a disc's optimal flight path. Range: 1 to 15.
Glide
The measure of lift generated by a disc to stay aloft. Range: 1 to 7.
Turn
The velocity, relative to the speed of the disc, required to cause the disc to turn with the direction of spin. Range: +1 to -5.
Fade
The low-velocity stability that causes a disc to hook at the end of its flight. Range: 0 to 5.
First I cannot say enough about 1010discs.com, they got my disc out the next morning and got to me 2 days after that. I am very impressed and I will use them in the future.
This disc flies incredibly true to the numbers. If I throw it with full velocity flat it will go straight for a good 80% of the flight and fade pretty reliably at the end (approx 275ft). It has replaced my Innova DX Roc3 for that job. I will be getting another in K1 plastic soon. The K3 plastic is the best feeling base plastic that I have ever held (it is also one of the most expensive base plastics). It will get beat up just like any base plastic so I will see how it flies after a few more rounds in the bag. I don't have a big arm so I was a little worried that this disc would be a little to overstable for me but it was exactly what I needed. I would highly recommend this disc to anyone looking to get an overstable midrange that can handle being thrown at full power. If you like discs that will age quickly get the K3 plastic, if you want it to keep the same flight for a while get the K1 plastic. I prefer my beaded midranges to have a little softer feel and not skip when they hit. I also like to have a few in various degrees of maturity.
