Doomsday Discs says this about the Depth Charge: "The Depth Charge is an altered version of the original Land Mine disc. In order to run such a blunt-edged, big disc in premium plastic, the rim had to be narrowed so that it wouldn't be too heavy for its size. The Depth Charge flies almost identically to a Land Mine, perhaps with even more torque resistance. When you need a precision munition that will fly to the target and then settle down to the ground without gliding into a hazard or straying off course, the Depth Charge is a deadly choice."
