Discraft says this about the Surge SS: "A max distance driver for players who don't have quite enough snap to maximize the original Surge's potential. The Super Straight Surge SS delivers all the glide that players have come to expect from a Surge, with a straighter edge to enhance controllability at slower speeds. Goes a long way with less effort!"

Z Paige Pierce Surge SS. This disc replaced my L64 Flow in my bag. I think the flight numbers are accurate and when thrown correctly, i actually get as much distance as i would a higher speed driver. This disc certainly wasnt as domey as my Opto Flow, but when looking for similar flight characteristics but more stable, this fit the spot (Flow's numbers are way off). Right out of the box this disc was as-advertised. Full flight when thrown flat, slight left fade when attempted to hyzer flip it. Id recommend this as a top speed driver for beginners, or even a disc that can fill a niche spot for intermediates.
