DGA says this about the Rogue: "The DGA Rogue distance driver is one of DGA’s premier high-speed disc golf drivers that combines control and distance while maintaining a predictable flight path. Unlike some drivers the Rogue isn’t limited by arm speed and is great from low to high speed throws. For low to medium arm speeds, this driver works perfectly for straight shots that do not require significant fade and can it can also be used for long turnovers. With higher arm speed throws the Rogue is perfect for any flip-to-flat line, narrow tunnel drives, as well as the huge flex shots. The DGA Rogue distance driver is a solid choice for people looking for a driver that gives them a lot of flexibility out on the course."
Flight Metrics
Speed
The velocity required to reach a disc's optimal flight path. Range: 1 to 15.
Glide
The measure of lift generated by a disc to stay aloft. Range: 1 to 7.
Turn
The velocity, relative to the speed of the disc, required to cause the disc to turn with the direction of spin. Range: +1 to -5.
Fade
The low-velocity stability that causes a disc to hook at the end of its flight. Range: 0 to 5.
The DGA Rogue in Granite plastic lived up to its flight numbers (11/4/-1/1) in my first outing. As an amateur player, I found it surprisingly controllable for a distance driver both on back and forehand throws. The slight turn helped me get some extra distance without sacrificing accuracy, and the reliable fade kept it from turning over completely. The Granite plastic feels great in the hand, providing a solid grip. While experienced players might find it straight out of the box, it's proving to be a great stepping stone distance driver for those looking to add a bit more power and distance to their game. Definitely a disc to consider if you're looking for a controllable distance option.
