The Gote is a large diameter, stable midrange driver. It has a neutral flight with good glide. This disc is slower than the Kaxe and easier to handle for touch shots and shorter holes. It is the first disc made in Kastaplast’s new factory in Gotene.
GÖTE, pronounced [yettah] in English, is an old Norse first name, meaning a person from Götaland (Southern Sweden).

Helpfulness
The Gote is amazing for ...
Nov 17, 2023
The Gote is amazing for smooth throwers. If you have a smooth release, forehand or backhand it can do some great things for you and will glide for days. As others suggest it isn't very forgiving with shaky releases.
Rip it over and it will hold the line before straightening out.

So the Gote is the best disc that I never reach for; if you throw it well, it will amaze you, but if anything is off, it will not forgive you.
So this is a true neutral mid. Wide diameter. Very glidey. Huge distance potential for the slow speed. Doesn't flip up. Doesn't flip over. Just holds. However, it doesn't allow any margin for error. If your nose is up at all, it goes up and stalls. If your nose is down, it burns worms. If you are a smidge anny, it will not drift back down to flat. If you are a smidge hyzer, it will not flip up to straight. So the best way to throw it is on intentional midrange hyzers or anhyzers, because using it for straight shots is giving yourself no margin of error. But for hyzers, you probably want something more OS that gets to the ground. And for "BH midrange anhyzers", I always just throw a little chip forehand. But if you take it out and absolutely pure a flat, nose neutral, smooth, straight line, you won't believe how this thing goes straight, goes far, pushes forward with no fade, et cet. So yeah, it's amazing at what it does, but I don't trust myself to hit that perfect throw often enough to make this a viable shot in a competitive round. Good form check disc though.
