Discraft says this about the Luna: "The Luna is a new putter co-designed from start to finish with Paul McBeth. The Luna features a new and unique plastic blend, combining the fan favorites of Jawbreaker and the durability and extra tackiness of rubber. The melding and firming process of these two materials makes for a great feel in the hand and gives the utmost confidence on the course. The Luna is a great neutral flying putter, making it a staple for heavily wooded and open style courses. This control allows The Luna to take advantage of any angle or putting style and showcase it at its full potential."

I love throwing putters, and I drive off the tee half the time with a putter. Buuuuut I’m just not a big fan of the Luna. It’s just a tad deep for my small hands (even though it is one of the most shallow in discraft’s lineup) and I had a difficult time getting it to go straight. Most of that is me being used to putters in premium plastics being relatively stable. The Luna is not that, even in premium plastic. This should definitely be a 3 3 0 0 type putter, but anyone who’s heard of a Luna probably has heard that as well.
Warning: Flight Numbers are Off.

Warning: Flight Numbers are Off. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before i bought this disc. I know Anthony Barela goes to it all the time and he has a huge arm. He would get straight, consistent approaches well out past 300' so i thought i might grab one and try it out. Getting those straight approaches with significant distance (for a putter) is NOT as hard as it looks. I can throw this on significant hyzer and it will stand up and drift consistently straight. Even though i find the flight numbers way off, i still have this in my bag because it just goes exactly where you throw it. As a putter, there is no bead and a significant top to bottom height on the disc. It's a deep disc and thus has a ton of glide. If you want an approach putter that doesn't need to be thrown hard and goes right where you point it, this is the disc for you.

As a putting putter (in the special blend plastic), the Luna doesn't stand out drastically from other putters. It is comfortable in the hand, but scarcely worth the somewhat inflated price.
In ESP plastic, the Luna shines as a straight approach disc. The flight numbers are deceptive, the 3 fade is nowhere to be found in its flight. If you're looking for an overstable throwing putter, try a Zone or an Envy. The Luna does seem to glide for days; it can almost fill a midrange slot.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Luna as a throwing putter, with a moderate recommendation as a putting putter. The '23 tour series looks and feels beautiful.
Discraft Luna—The Straight Shooter for Precise Approaches
Jul 7, 2023
The Discraft Luna is a putt & approach disc that surprises with its much straighter flight pattern than its flight numbers suggest. I would give it a flight rating of 3 | 4 | 0 | 1. It excels at straight approach shots with a clean finish, providing pinpoint accuracy and predictability. The Luna's reliable resistance to turn, minimal fade, and comfortable grip make it an essential tool for players who value precision and consistency in their game. Whether navigating tight fairways or executing delicate touch shots, the Luna delivers impressive control and inspires confidence.
